Restoring a purchase
Open the paywall and tap Restore purchase. Use the same Apple ID you bought with.
Cancelling
Cancel in iOS Settings, under Subscriptions. Your stories stay readable; listening needs an active plan.
Where your stories are kept
On your phone and in your own private iCloud database. The shared part of each story is kept in a cache on the phone that is excluded from backup, and it downloads again when needed.
Why a library story sometimes plays
If your lines cannot become a story — you skipped them, are offline, or the write did not go through — Ho-Hum plays a library story instead.
Deleting everything
Delete stories in the app; they leave the phone and your iCloud. Their cached audio goes with them. Server text and audio are already gone within a day; for other server records, write to privacy@hohum.app.
