About
A small app that aims low, on purpose.
Most things you listen to at the end of the day are trying to be good. Gripping plots, rich voices, a twist before the credits. Ho-Hum is trying to be boring, and it works hard at it.
Why the dull parts
By the end of a day, the dull parts are the ones still lying around: the standup that ran long, the inbox that stayed grey, the form you filled in twice. Ho-Hum takes a line or two about them and writes a story where nothing much happens, then reads it aloud in a calm, unhurried AI voice.
No cliffhangers, no twists, nothing you’ll miss if you stop following along. The app wins when you put it down.
Plain about how it’s made
Every story is written by AI and read by an AI voice. Your day goes to an AI writer and a voice service, to be written and read aloud, and we delete your notes from our servers once your phone has the whole story. There is no account and there are no ads. The privacy policy names every service involved.
Who makes it
Ho-Hum is made by Abe Burnett and provided by Abraham Richards Burnett (Mythgate). It is for adults.
